From time to time, road works, projects, and events require the partial or complete closure of roads within the Alpine Shire.
Current and upcoming road closures and changes
Spartan Trifecta Event
Spartan Australia will be holding a Spartan Trifecta Event at Pioneer Park, Bright on February 22-23, 2025.
Traffic Management will be implemented from 4.30am to 8pm on Saturday 22 February, and 5.30am to 5pm Sunday, 23 February.
- Coronation Avenue, Ballroom Court and Pioneer Lane will be closed during the times outlined above, each with a marshal in place.
- Speed reductions will be in place along Churchill Avenue for parking
Parking Arrangements
- Parking for the event will be along Churchill Avenue and Hawthorn Lane
- Hawthorn Lane and Churchill Avenue heading South (towards Wandiligong) will be the designated route to the parking areas

Bright Make it Bake it Grow it Monthly Market
6am – 1.30pm every 3rd Saturday of the month.
The Howitt Park Soundshell car park will be closed to allow for the safe staging of the monthly market.
Dargo High Plains Road
The Dargo High Plains Road has now reopened for the summer season and will remain open until May/June 2025, weather depending.
