The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has officially declared elected the candidates for the Alpine Shire Council.
The successful candidates are (in order of election):
> Sarah Nicholas
> John Andersen
> Gareth Graham
> Peter Smith
> Noah Tanzen
> David Byrne
> Jean-Pierre Ronco
The computer calculations were conducted at 4pm on Thursday, 7 November 2024 by the Election Manager for the Alpine Shire at the Electoral Office in Bright, with results officially declared at 4pm on Friday, 8 November 2024.
Candidates will be sworn in as Councillors on Thursday, 14 November when they take the Oath or Affirmation of Office.
Alpine Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Will Jeremy, congratulated the seven candidates and extended his sincere thanks to the previous Councillors for their contribution to the Alpine Shire.
"The previous Councillors were a high-performing and cohesive team, with a strong focus on delivering the best for our community," he said.
"We look forward to supporting our new Councillors to achieve their full potential as a team and deliver exceptional outcomes across the Alpine Shire."
