An expression of interest process was undertaken earlier this year, with three submissions received within the specified period. All three submitters were subsequently invited to participate in the formal tender process.

In March, the tender process commenced to secure a suitable professional operator to oversee the operations and management of Mystic Park.

Three tenders were received and were assessed against five key selection criteria – financial sustainability, qualifications and previous performance, delivery, community and environmental sustainability. Following this assessment the tender panel recommended Elevation Parks as the preferred operator.

Alpine Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Will Jeremy, said the success of Mystic Park is reliant on the engagement of an experienced, established and capable professional operator to secure its future operations.

"Since 2016, Mystic Park has experienced a period of rapid growth as a result of the opening of the Hero Trail in December 2016 and Shred Kelly’s Last Stand in December 2018," Mr Jeremy said.

"Following a thorough tender evaluation assessment against the key selection criteria, Elevation Parks is considered the best option."
