The much-anticipated playground repair works at both Cundy Park and Howitt Park are well underway, with both sites expected to be ready for families to enjoy by December, just in time for the school holiday season.
Works vary across both parks and include structural repairs, walkway improvements, replacement of slides, cleaning and oiling of timbers, and repainting.
At Cundy Park, major structural repairs are nearly complete, and deck replacements will commence shortly.
Meanwhile, works at Howitt Park kicked off last week, ensuring both sites will be refreshed and revitalised for safe and enjoyable play.
“We understand how important these playgrounds are to our community, and we’re committed to having them ready as soon as possible,” Alpine Shire Council's Manager Assets and Engineering, Sarah Buckley, said.
“The updates will help ensure these spaces are enjoyable for years to come.”
We thank the community for their patience and look forward to welcoming everyone back to both playgrounds once works are complete.
