The Sealing of Unsealed Roads Policy, introduction of the Emergency Services and Volunteer Fund, and Rating Strategy for Dinner Plain were on the agenda at last night's Ordinary Council Meeting.
At the meeting, Council:
> Approved the draft Sealing of Unsealed Roads Policy No. 38, Version 1 for community consultation in accordance with its Community Engagement Policy for a period of no less than 28 days; and
> Invited public submissions on the draft Sealing of Unsealed Roads Policy No. 38, Version 1.
> Awarded Contract No. 26135 to ABC Civils Group Pty Ltd for the lump sum price of $268,521 (GST exclusive); and
> Delegated authority to the Chief Executive Officer to sign and seal the contract at the appropriate time.
> Deferred consideration of a recommendation to purchase part of the discontinued road comprising of Crown Allotment 2035 Parish Mullindolingong for $21,312.32 to the April Ordinary Council Meeting.
> Received and noted the unconfirmed minutes of the Audit and Risk Committee meeting No. 2024/25-4 held on 21 February 2025.
> Received and noted the Budget Report – Quarter Two Review 2024/25 for the period ending 21 December 2024.
> Noted the information contained in Agenda Item 8.3.3 regarding the implementation of the Emergency Services and Volunteer Fund.
> Noted that a review of the Audit and Risk Committee Charter has been undertaken;
> Revoked the Audit and Risk Committee Charter (version 4.1);
> Revoked the Audit and Risk Committee Charter (version 5.0); and
> Signed and sealed the Audit and Risk Committee Charter (version 5.0) at the appropriate stage in this meeting.
> Resolved to prepare the Draft 2025/26 Budget on the basis that a special rate will not be raised for Dinner Plain Village for the 2025/26 financial year;
> Resolved to include Dinner Plain in the definition and scope of the commercial/industrial differential rate in the draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2025, and undertake public consultation on this draft;
> Resolved to quarantine the Dinner Plain Reserve from 30 June 2025, with no further income to be allocated to the Reserve after 30 June 2025; and
> Resolved to consider a recommendation at a future Council Meeting in relation to permitted expenditure from the Dinner Plain Reserve from 1 July 2025.
> Received the summary of informal meetings of Councillors for February / March 2025.
