Community and events grants recipients, a heritage overlay for the avenue of trees on the Great Alpine Road and the Short Stay Rental Accommodation community engagement report were on the agenda at last night's Council Meeting.
At the meeting, Council:

Offered the Chief Executive Officer a 5% increase to his base salary

Noted the Community Satisfaction Survey 2024

Endorsed the change of date for the September Ordinary Council Meeting

Agreed to prepare and exhibit a planning scheme amendment to implement the Great Alpine Road (western gateway) Bright: Landscape and Heritage Detailed Assessment Methodology Report July 2024

Allocated funding to applicants in the 2024/25 Event Funding Program

Endorsed the recommendations of the Community Grant Assessment Panel for the 2024/25 Community Grants Program

Noted the community feedback on the development of a Short Stay Residential Accommodation Local Law and agreed to continue utilising existing legislation to address amenity concerns

Adopted the Councillor Expenses Policy, the Governance and Election Period Policy, the Public Transparency Policy, and the Dealing with Difficult Customers Policy

Agreed to engage an external authority to undertake Council's Internal Audit Program

Adopted the Fraud and Corruption Control Policy No. 91 (version 4)

Noted a number of Council's insurance portfolios

Agreed to participate in a joint meeting with Indigo and Towong Shire Councils to discuss the Albury-Wodonga Health Hospital Development
