In anticipation of snowfall later this week, the Dargo High Plains Road is scheduled to close for the winter season at 12pm on Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

However, adventure enthusiasts still have the opportunity to embark on one last 4WD journey over the King's Birthday Weekend.
This is the perfect time to get your gear ready and make the most of the stunning winter landscapes before the seasonal closure.
Due to the expected icy conditions, 4WD vehicles are recommended for safety.
The road is expected to reopen in late spring or early summer, contingent on weather conditions.
Updates regarding the reopening will be provided later this year.
