Alpine Shire Council has awarded the contract for the refurbishment of Tawonga Memorial Hall to Joss Facility Management Pty Ltd.
The refurbishment will include upgrades to the kitchen, bathroom and meeting room, as well as a new storage room, upgrades to services and improved access for people with disabilities.
Alpine Shire Mayor, Cr John Forsyth, celebrated this announcement for the Tawonga community.
"This is a welcome development for the people of Tawonga, who have been very patient throughout this process," he said.
"We are excited to be able to bring Tawonga Memorial Hall back to life as an important and necessary meeting place for the community."
Joss Facility Management will start works in September.
