Council's Mapping System: We have moved from Intramaps to our new Geographical Information System (GIS) AlpineMaps (Esri). Access to the old GIS system Intramaps will be turned off in January 2025 and the data stored within Intramaps will not been maintained.

Major Projects

Cundy Park Playground

The tender process for maintenance works at Cundy Park has been successfully completed, and we are now in the final stages of awarding the contract. Construction is expected to begin next month. These works are a priority for Council, and we are focused on reopening the playground for the community to enjoy as soon as possible.

Howitt Park Playground

Council has received quotes for the necessary maintenance at Howitt Park, and planning for the project’s delivery is currently underway. Our goal is to reopen this much-loved playground in time for the Christmas holidays, if not sooner. We will share more information on the project timeline once finalised.

Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Will Jeremy, highlighted the importance of these upgrades.

"We are committed to ensuring safe and enjoyable spaces for all, and our teams are working hard to complete these projects efficiently," he said.

Bicentennial Park BBQ

We’re happy to announce that the BBQ at Bicentennial Park in Mount Beauty is now fully operational. With warmer weather on the way, we hope this will be a great spot for sunny outdoor gatherings for both locals and visitors.
