Community surveys on satisfaction with Council

From 30 May through until 30 June 2024, residents in the Alpine Shire may receive a call from an independent market research agency, National Field Services.

30 May 2024
General

They have been commissioned to conduct a quarterly community satisfaction survey on behalf of Council. Similar surveys will be undertaken across Victorian councils in the coming months.

The survey has been designed to assess the performance of Council across a range of measures to identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to residents. The survey will involve 100 interviews each quarter, conducted among a representative sample of residents.

Council does not provide a third party with contact details for community members to undertake these surveys.

A survey sample matched to the demographic profile of Alpine Shire Council (as determined by the most recent ABS population estimates) is purchased by the company running the survey from an accredited supplier of publicly available phone records. Within this sample, phone numbers are randomly selected to survey.

Names aren't provided, and the person surveying community members will never ask for anyone by name.

Please also keep in mind:

  • The caller will always identify as National Field Services and introduce themselves by name (e.g. Mark from National Field Services);

  • They will always say how long they expect the survey to take; and,

  • Calls will come from a landline number and will not be from a mobile number.

We appreciate you taking the time to assist us with your valuable feedback.

Please be assured that your details and individual responses are confidential. Only the overall results are shared with Council.
