How you'll make a difference

As ICT Coordinator you will be instrumental for maintaining reliable, secure, functional and responsive ICT systems for Council by providing advice and implementing wider ICT strategic direction across Council functions in compliance with company standards. You will have experience in collaborating with internal teams and external contractors. You will lead a small team to oversee day-to-day operations Councils ICT systems, ensuring they are functioning securely and efficiently. 

Central to the role is leading and modelling a values-driven culture where Council’s values are reflected in all actions and decisions. A strong customer focus will underpin this role’s ability to deliver high quality services. You will ensure that IT strategy, policies, and procedures are developed and implemented to support the organisation's objectives and foster innovation.

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for a professional with proven operational leadership experience in Information Technology, with the ability to motivate and manage teams, and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, projecting a positive image in all interactions with internal and external customers. 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Strong practical and technical skills in the application and development of systems in key responsibility areas.
  • Ability to effectively collect and analyse data, and to assist in the formulation of policy and strategy.
  • experience in Local Government advantageous 
  • a commitment to continuous improvement and strategic thinking
  • a tertiary qualification in a relevant field with extensive industry experience 
  • a current Victorian Driver Licence is essential.
