Your formal qualifications backed by industry experience will guide you in identifying opportunities for improvement, whether that be through innovative ways of working or introducing different methodologies into Information Technology and Business projects.

We are open to meeting those with previous high-quality business analysis and project delivery experience working across various technology and business projects coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for providing end-to-end business analysis services, including but not limited to, requirements elicitation and management, stakeholder management and communication, development of high-quality documentation, and providing quality assurance, process improvement and capability development. 
  • Work across a portfolio of key technology and business facing projects in areas such as decision making, records management, finance, communication and collaboration, customer experience, and human resources.
  • Work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to understand and capture business needs, objectives, and challenges, and translate them into detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, solution designs, process flows, use cases, user stories, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project team members to help define project scope, objectives, and deliverables and assist in project management planning, progress reporting, and ongoing identification of issues, risks, and benefits.
  • Support the business in their transition and help to establish required change.
  • Participating in system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions meet specified requirements and are of high-quality.
  • Recommend process improvements and assist in their implementation.
  • Supporting and developing the ongoing business analysis capability.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A degree qualification in a relevant business and or information technology/ information systems or comparable business analysis and project delivery experience with certification (e.g. BABOK) in industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working across various technology and business facing projects, systems, and functional solutions, ideally relating to decision making, records management, finance, communication and collaboration, customer experience, and human resources.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Experience in Local Government advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work.
  • Have a strong and proactive customer service focus.
