Mount Beauty Foreshore Playground contract awarded
Council backs children’s first choice in playground equipment Children in the upper Kiewa Valley will soon be playing on new playground equipment at the Mount Beauty Foreshore. Alpine Shire Council awarded the $120,000 (excl GST) contract for the custom design, fabrication and installation of playground equipment to Agency of Sculpture during last Tuesday’s ordinary council meeting.
Alpine Better Places Drop In Sessions
Community members are being invited to view the Alpine Better Places Draft Detailed Concept Designs at upcoming Drop In Sessions. The Draft Detailed Concept Designs for Myrtleford, Bright and Porepunkah were approved by Council at the November Ordinary Council Meeting and will be on public exhibition for 28 days. Council’s Director Assets Charlie Bird said local communities had played a big part in the design process for the $6 million project.
Mount Beauty Progressing Place Civil Works to start next week
Roads, kerbs, parking and landscaping will soon be improved with civil works beginning in Mount Beauty early next week. Alpine Shire Council Director Assets Charlie Bird said as part of Mount Beauty’s $875,000 Progressing Place Project, significant improvements would be made to the town centre’s road and streetscape conditions, beginning with kerb and parking works in Park Street next Monday, November 30.
