Alpine Better Places Project - Myrtleford

Alpine Better Places

Council commenced its Alpine Better Places project in early 2015, with the aim of delivering detailed concept designs for priority projects in each of the town centres of Porepunkah, Bright and Myrtleford. The project progressed well through its first three phases including two rounds of community consultation. Council and community input was sought in March to prioritise projects in each of the townships. Council and community feedback was then sought on the preliminary concept designs in June and their visions for each town have been included on the draft detailed concept designs.

The proposed streetscape improvements were outlined in the Draft Detailed Concept Designs which went on public exhibition in late 2015. At the March 2016 Council Meeting, following consideration of all comments and submissions received, Council determined to adopt both the recommended responses to the formal submissions and the Final Detailed Concept Designs for Myrtleford, Porepunkah and Bright, completed under Alpine Better Places.

The de-identified submission summaries and decisions can be viewed under the 2016 Council meeting agendas and minutes, 1 March 2016 - Ordinary Council Meeting. The Final Detailed Concept Designs can also be downloaded here:
