Children’s Week is a national celebration that recognizes the talents, skills, achievements, and rights of children. The theme for Children’s Week 2024 is “Children have the right to a clean and safe environment” based on Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
This year Council will be hosting some Family Fun Afternoons where children (aged 0-10) can attend with their families can watch a live performance, connect with others and enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces and environment that the Alpine Shire has to offer.
Entry is free. Anticipating around 100-120 attendees at each session.
Live performance is the Funky Monkey Family Magic Adventure show by The Dreaming Space. Reigniting the magic in life, turning the ordinary in to the extraordinary. The Funky Monkey Family use all their magical powers combined to make human sized teleportation devices and blow audiences away. All the while balancing, singing, dancing, and juggling! Performance also includes a Giant Bubble workshop.

Food vans will be on site, so make sure you bring a picnic rug and some chairs to relax the afternoon away.
