Myrtleford Flood Mitigation design project update

9 July 2015

Alpine Shire Council is calling on the Myrtleford community to share their views on detailed designs for alleviating floods in the town.

The council will present plans and cost estimates for the Myrtleford Water Management Scheme at a community information evening later this month, and is encouraging people to attend and provide feedback.

“Council has consulted with the community throughout the development of the plans and would now like to show the plans to the community and to listen to the community’s views before the next steps are considered by Council,” Alpine Shire Mayor Cr Jan Vonarx said.

The information evening will be held at the Savoy Club, Myrtleford on Wednesday 29th July starting at 7.00pm, and will feature detailed designs of the proposed Myrtleford town levee and floodway.
