Council unveils Alpine Better Places designs

5 June 2015

Residents are invited to provide feedback on the preliminary designs for Porepunkah, Myrtleford and Bright streetscape upgrades which will be unveiled at Day of Design workshops starting on 16 June.

Council’s Alpine Better Places project team sought community input to identify priority projects through a series of workshops in March, and is now ready to unveil the preliminary designs.

Council’s Director Assets, Charlie Bird said the workshops will feature large scale colored plans for people to respond to.

“We are keen to seek community feedback on the preliminary designs. The workshops will be interactive and will help us inform final detailed concept designs,” Mr Bird said.

“We had more than 90 people attend the March workshops so we are hoping for similar numbers this time,” he said.

The total estimated cost of the streetscape upgrades is $6.2million across the three towns. Once finalised, the upgrades will be implemented over the next five years.

Day of Design workshops will be held on 16 June in Porepunkah, 17 June in Bright and 18 June in Myrtleford.
