Activity Group has something for everyone

WOULD you like to meet new people, enjoy outings, visit new places and share a meal with friends?

Participants of the Alpine@Home Activity Group are enjoying a revamped program this year, and Home and Community Care (HACC) eligible residents are invited to join in.

Activities run four days a week in Bright, Myrtleford and Mount Beauty.

Mayor Jan Vonarx invited HACC-eligible residents to drop in for a visit and see what the service has to offer.

“The aim of the service is to run the types of activities and outings that clients will enjoy in a flexible, inclusive environment,” she said.

“The purpose is to facilitate fun and laughter, which encourages general wellbeing and promotes independence.

“If this sounds like something you may enjoy, contact your nearest service for a copy of the activity schedule, and come along to an activity that interests you.”

Clients enjoy an outing every week, whether it’s going shopping in Wangaratta or Albury or enjoying lunch at a local café.

The service offers a Lunch Club every second Wednesday and a range of centre-based activities throughout the week.
