Join us for High Tea

LOCAL people can learn how to cook High Tea and enjoy the fruits of their labours with friends at a High Tea Cooking Class later this month.

Alpine Shire Council is hosting the class at the Bright Community Centre from 9.30am on Wednesday, 21 May.

Communities Officer - Health and Wellbeing Pat Easterbrook said the free event was part of Council’s Positive Ageing Program.

“This is a great way for people to learn some new cooking skills, have fun and share High Tea with their friends,” she said.

“It’s important that people in our communities have the chance to socialise, learn something new and have some fun in a relaxed environment.

“We will make a whole range of delicious goodies, including cupcakes, chicken sandwiches and scones, then sit down for High Tea and a chat.”

Places for the cooking class are limited; however, each participant is welcome to invite a friend to share High Tea with them at 12.30pm.

Contact Pat Easterbrook on 5755 0535 or email at for more information or to book. This is a free event.
