North East Skate Series Myrtleford

3 March 2014

BMX riders, skaters and scooters will converge on the Myrtleford Skate Park on Saturday to compete in the first heat of the North East Skate Series.

With demo riders, live music, food and drink available for purchase, the event has something to suit competitors or spectators alike.

Alpine Shire Youth Development Officer Ebony D’Arcy said the skate series was being held alongside the Alpine heat of Battle of the Bands to create a youth event with something for everyone.

“We’re excited about this event,” she said.

“By running it this way, we’ve got an event that helps young riders and musicians to learn from others, test their skills and come away with some great opportunities for developing those skills.”

Entry is free.

This is a drug and alcohol free event, funded by the State Government’s FReeZA program and organised by Indigo and Alpine Shire Councils.
