Environmental focus for local students

MORE than 100 grade five students gathered at Pioneer Park to take part in a School Environment Education Directory (SEED) day on Thursday, 8 March.

Council’s Waste Management Officer Sandra Light helped to coordinate the day, which held hands-on activities on topics including recycling, waste, water filtration, solar energy and native animals.

Activities were held by representatives from a number of organisations, including Upper Ovens Valley Landcare Group, NevRwaste, Parks Victoria and Anything Solar.
