Health checks for Council workers

68 Council employees had free health checks this week as a part of the WorkHealth initiative by WorkSafe Victoria.

Employees were tested for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and waist circumference by BizHealth with immediate feedback given.

The aim of the initiative is to improve the health and wellbeing of workers and reduce the risk of chronic preventable illnesses such as type two diabetes and heart disease.

Council embraced this initiative as a part of its commitment to Occupational Health and Safety for its workforce.
