Community Grants

Revitalising our Environments Grant Program applications are now closed.

The Alpine Community Recovery Committee (CRC) has identified improved environmental protection and management as a key priority in their Community Recovery Plan.

The Alpine CRC is made up of community members from across the Alpine Shire and Resorts to give a voice to the broad views and recovery goals of local communities.

Thanks to joint funding provided from the Commonwealth and State governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, Alpine Shire Council is supporting this priority by providing a one-off funding opportunity to assist not-for-profit community groups in the Alpine Shire to undertake initiatives related to revitalising our environments.

The objectives of the Revitalising our Environments Grants Program are to:

  1. Enhance the natural environment by removing invasive species, such as weeds and willows, and/or replanting native species
  2. Educate and inform people through environmental signage relevant to flora and fauna species native to the Alpine region
  3. Create or enhance community garden spaces to educate and inform people about fire-resilient native flora
