The Alpine Shire Youth Council is currently on hold until further notice.
There are still plenty of ways for young people to be involved in Council, including helping to run events and organising the Alpine Shire Youth Awards. For more information please contact Council's Youth Development Officer Jenny Corser at or 5755 0524.

2015 Youth Awards Winners

The annual Alpine Shire Youth Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of local young people in the categories of Academic, Workplace, Arts, Inspirational, Community, Rural and Sports.

Nominations for the 2016 awards are now open. People who live, work or attend school in the Alpine Shire and are aged between 12 and 21 are eligible to be nominated. Nominations close Friday, 22 July.

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, 16 September at the Bright Community Centre.

2015 Alpine Shire Youth Awards

The 2015 Alpine Shire Youth Awards were held in Mt Beauty, guests were entertained by special guest speaker Tim Cope and talented local young musicians and dancers.

Youth Events

Skate board competition

Every year the Youth Council, with the support of the FReeZA program, run many events in the Alpine Shire.

Each year Alpine Shire joins with other local Councils to run the North East Skate Series which is a rolling skate competition that takes place throughout the year. For dates check out 'North East Skate Park Series' on Facebook.
