Woolworths VCAT hearing concluded

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) hearing in the dispute between the Alpine Shire Council and Woolworths finished in Melbourne yesterday.

In December last year, Council asked VCAT to make a ruling in the dispute over the Bright supermarket development.

Council's Manager Planning and Environment, Heather Green said at the end of the hearing no interim decision was given.

"It could be several weeks before the decision is handed down," Ms Green said.

Council and Woolworths are in dispute about inconsistencies with the built wall heights along Star Road and the northern boundary and those shown on the endorsed plans.
